Kanae Hokari (帆刈 叶) is one of euphoria heroines. A second-year at Rokukeikan Academy. She is one of Keisuke's classmates and also his childhood friend.
Appearance
Kanae is a petite girl which has a short black hair with a ribbon attached to it as an accessory and green eyes. She has an infantile face, but her body is curvy and she has big breasts which she tries to hide by using a cardigan - but the school uniform is small for her, so it doesn't works. She's always seen wearing her school uniform, which consists of a traditional black sailor suit - just like Nemu - and a cardigan.
In the true end, her appearance doesn't changes that much - the only difference is that she wears a white scientist coat with her uniform.
Personality
Kanae is shown to be a sweet, gentle girl who cares about the people around her, to the point that she askes Keisuke to choose her from on now at some point in the anime/game, so the other girls won't suffer. She's always by Keisuke's side, since she's his childhood friend, and also trusts him a lot and would do happily anything he says. She doesn't likes Nemu very much, since she teases people a lot and likes to bully Rika - which Kanae defends a lot, even growing a small bound between them. Hokari is a very kind person.
In the true end, Kanae is the complete antithesis of the person she was during the time spent locked in that white facility - she acts just like Nemu, being someone cruel, ruthless and arrogant, which confuses Keisuke a lot since it's like Nemu and Kanae swapped personalities, to the point that he thinks that Nemu manipulated Kanae. It's hinted that she felt something for Keisuke, since she left her location for Keisuke somewhere in the Rokukeikan School.
